Day in and day out, we live our lives in accordance with what comes our way. How we choose to approach each morning, noon and night is determined by how we treat ourselves. When we take time to develop healthy habits for ourselves beyond the basics of a daily shower and brushing and flossing our teeth, we improve our quality of life. With some discipline and schedule planning to fit in our choice of exercise to combine with conscientious meals we provide a foundation for a better life. A mindset of all things in moderation generates a healthy balance in living. We all know that too much of anything is too much and not enough is just that, not enough. But how do we recognize what's too much? How do we inspire ourselves to do more? This is where yoga comes in to show us in a gentle way where we are over or underwhelming our physical and internal body.We are humbled with challenging postures but encouraged with each class when we see how fast our bodies respond to yoga. Each yoga practice works throughout the entire body to level out the effects of too much and too little to give us confidence and calm reassurance in ourselves to keep practicing. A little yoga every day and classes once or twice a week keeps things in check, keeps us in a state of personal awareness of what is going on in ourselves and in our bodies. Just a little check in with where we are on the yoga mat brings moderation and balance into our lives naturally.
